If you have recently completed and passed the Texas Online Training for a License to Carry  from a Certified Online Training Provider you should have an LTC-101 Certificate.  

 

You will need to bring your LTC-101 Certificate on the day of the Proficiency Test for us to assist you in the Qualification.

We do not have access to the LTC-101 Certificate.

 

We are not affiliated with or have a professional relationship with any Online Training Providers. If you have issues with any Online Training Providers, contact them directly.

This is a Qualification / Proficiency Test. You will get a safety orientation  prior to the Proficiency.
No firearms training can be provided during the Proficiency Test.

If you need Basic Firearms Training we recommend the Handgun Basic Orientation Course prior to scheduling a Proficiency Test.

The State of Texas Assumes:

• You are proficient in the handling of firearms before the Proficiency Test.
• Violations of any Safety Rules or Range Commands will terminate the Proficiency Test.
• There will be no warm-ups before the Proficiency Test.
• Assistance will be provided by the Range Master(s) when malfunctions occur for safety reasons.
• That the candidate has a firearm in safe and good working conditions, failure to have one terminates the Proficiency Test.

The Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE Pass or Fail.

NOTE: Rescheduling of a Failed Proficiency Test is subject to $20 rescheduling fee and availability.

On the day of the Proficiency Test you will need to bring the following:

• Range Equipment
• LTC-101 Certificate
• Texas Drivers License and a government issued Photo ID

If you do not have:

• Eye and Ear protection we can provide them for free.
• A firearm (you can rent one) on the day of the Proficiency Test.
     NOTE: You will need to bring 9mm Luger ammunition.

The Citadel Firearms Institute can assist you in the Qualification Phase of the process, but understand that  All LTC-101 Qualifications are by Appointment Only on a 1:1 ratio (we can make exceptions if you Contact US, so we can make the proper arrangements).
